I miss the way things were when we were younger
You have always been my ground and my shelter
I knew I could come to you before any other

Your voice it self brings me comfort
But it’s when you sing I know I’m home

Night at home watching movies
The power rangers in all their glory,
Story of us made you cry
And I laughed as you batted your eyes

You’ve been there for me as long as I can remember
Disapproving of my romantic endeavors with men who didn’t fit your standards

Of the few things that I know
I have learned so much from you
In regards to matter of the heart
Through hiding behind 3 fingers

I could let this go on forever
But in the end there are not enough words to show my feelings true

And I hope one day I can be as good of a friend as you
